Blink Twice movie review

Just before the Labor Day weekend, I saw a movie called Blink Twice. 

It is about a lady named Frida who is a manicurist and a cocktail waitress who meets Slater King who is a billionaire tech mogul. Slater invites Frida and her friend Jess to his private island. Some of Slater's friends are there as well. Strange things start happening on the island. For instance, she keeps losing her memory because someone is drugging her with venom from a flower. 

Frida needs to find out what is really happening before she can get off the island.

During the end of the movie, Slater and Frida get married and Frida is the new CEO of the tech company.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10. The reason why is because of the suspense and the plot. I enjoyed the story very much. It gets you on the edge of your seat.    

It is the directorial debut of Zoe Kravitz, who is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet.

I recently saw the movie American Fiction in a local movie theater. I really liked it. It was a comedy drama.  The comedy parts made me laugh and the drama parts got me in awe. It made me think a lot about what people write about in books. It made me think about whether there should be a difference between a white writer and a writer of color. Galantine’s day celebration

I had a Galantine’s day celebration at Benihana on Saturday night. I had a phenomenal time. I always was a fan of girls get togethers and hibachi. I came up with girls get togethers last September. Me and my female friends went to the Cheesecake Factory for my 28th birthday and we had a great time! When I hang out with my female friends, I feel very happy. I have a great time with them. For my next all girls get together, we are going to a farm for an Easter/Spring festival this March. I cannot wait for it!  Cheers! The gang is all here!  Me and Leila

Broadway Music and My Favorite Composers

 I would like to tell you about my favorite composers. These composers made an impact on the stage as well in music. Here is Alan Menken in his recording studio  Alan Menken was one of my favorites. He wrote the music for Beauty and the Beast as well as Little Shop of Horrors. I like him because he wrote music for Broadway as well as for the movies and both of these were made into movies.  Here is a young Stephen Sondheim at an event  Another one I enjoy is Stephen Sondheim. He wrote the music for Gypsy, Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Follies, just to name a few. He had a very long and legendary career on Broadway. Sondheim was a trailblazer. When he passed away in 2021 the loss was immense. Even the Broadway lights dimmed for him. A lot of famous people posted on social media their condolences and their memories of him.
