  The Come from Away Playbill On February 12, I saw Come from Away at the Paper Mill Playhouse. It was a one act musical about September 11th 2001 and people getting stranded at a small town in Canada.  It takes place in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. Claude, the mayor of Gander, is informed by a woman named Janice, a news reporter, while at a Tim Horton's coffee shop. It turned out US Airspace was closed and 7,000 planes diverted to Gander. Two schoolteachers decided they should get blankets and bedding because the passengers were going to get tired and they would need a place to stay. The bus drivers were on strike initially, but they got the people to some shelters.  At first the passengers are confused as to why they were in Canada. They were later informed of what happened by the TV. There were planes that hit the World Trade Center in NYC and the people could not come home for quite some time.   On February 8th, I went to a Super Bowl Party. It was the Seattle Seahawks vs. the New England Patriots. I usually like to watch the commercials as well as the Halftime show when I am watching the Super Bowl.  First they did a coin toss. If it landed on heads the New England Patriots would kick off and if it landed on tails the Seattle Seahawks would do the kick off. It landed on heads and the New England Patriots did the kickoff for the Super Bowl 2026.  I am going to tell you my favorite Super Bowl Commercials for 2026. There was a montage paying tribute to NBC and its shows over the years. NBC is turning 100 years old this year and I thought that commercial was beautiful! I cannot believe NBC is turning 100 years old!  Another commercial I enjoyed was a movie trailer called Minions vs. Monsters.    At the end of January, I saw a movie called Shelter at the AMC in Mountainside. I saw it with one of my friends.  It was about a retired assassin by the name of Michael Mason who lives alone with his dog on the coast of Scotland. There is a young girl named Jessie who delivers supplies to his isolated house. She lives with her uncle because her mom passed away. After the supplies get delivered a big storm hit and Jessie's uncle was killed when he was washed away in the storm. Jessie's ankle was injured trying to escape the storm.  Micheal Mason gives Jessie shelter from the storm and gives her bandages for her ankle.  After the storm hit, there was some people from MI6 trying to kill Micheal Mason. His former boss put a hit on him. Micheal wants to protect Jessie from them but his former boss now knows where he is located.  Now Michael is trying to escape because this remote location  isn't safe anymore.  Micheal and Jessie go on a wild goose c...

     On January 3rd, I saw the movie Song Sung Blue at the AMC in Mountainside with some friends of mine. It was about Lightning and Thunder who were a famous Neil Diamond tribute band. They were composed of married couple Mike and Claire Sardina.   The movie starts out with Mike Sardina as a Don Ho impersonator at the Wisconsin State fair. He wants to perform as himself and refuses to go onstage as Don Ho. He quits.  He meets Claire Stingl who is a Patsy Cline impersonator. After she sings "Walking after midnight" Claire and Mike discuss future plans as a Neil Diamond tribute act. They soon fall in love. Claire tells Mike that she is divorced with two children. Mike discloses that he battled alcohol addiction and he is sober for 20+ years. They soon get married.  Mike is friends with Mark Shurilla who used to be a Buddy Holly impersonator. Thanksgiving is about being thankful around that time. I am thankful for family, friends, Broadway musicals, movies and my dog Harley.  During Thanksgiving I like to spend time with my family. I sometimes go to my cousin Nancy's house in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. I enjoy eating turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole. My favorite desert on Thanksgiving is pumpkin pie.  This time of year people get gifts for the holidays. People go to the mall and get gifts for family members and friends. They do that before or after Thanksgiving.  Autumn has been one of my favorite seasons along with spring and summer. I enjoy watching the leaves changing as well as drinking coffee and tea.  I enjoy going apple picking as well as celebrating Halloween. This past October 19 I was in Riamede Farm in Chester, NJ with some friends of mine. We went apple picking and I got some apples, We went on a tractor ride as well to get to the orchards.  The tractor ride at Riamede Farm.  Myself with a fresh apple.  Let me tell you about Halloween. It has been one of my favorite holidays along with Thanksgiving. This past October 26th I was at a Halloween party in Florham Park, NJ. I was a blue crayon. I socialized with my friends and I had an amazing time. All of my friends were in colorful costumes.  Best friends at the Halloween party! The group is all there!
