Autumn Activities

   

Halloween 2024 


We are in autumn right now and I like doing activities around that time. I like watching the leaves change and apple picking. I adore Halloween as well. 

I enjoy going to Riamede Farm in Chester, NJ  with my friends to go apple picking. I enjoy picking fresh apples and making applesauce at home. I went last year and it was beautiful! We went on a tractor to go to the apple orchards. The apples are crunchy and fresh. I got some things at the farm store as well.

I enjoy dressing up for Halloween. I like to go to Halloween parties very much. They are always a great time. I go to my friend Max's Halloween parties in Florham Park, NJ. He dresses up in amazing costumes. Halloween is a phenomenal holiday!

I also love going on the pumpkin train ride at the Whippany Railway Museum. My friend, Peter, works as a train conductor there. He worked as the train conductor at the Easter bunny train ride this year. He is also doing the Pumpkin train ride this year. I hope the Pumpkin train ride is a good one this year.

The Long Walk review

   On Wednesday, September 17th, I saw the Long Walk at the AMC in West Orange. It was based on a novel written by Stephen King. Many of his works were turned into movies and TV Shows.  It was about the United Sates being taken over by a military regime. A second Civil War has happened and the US is in ruins.  The leader of the regime is called the Major. It is unknown about what is real name is. Every year e runs event called the Long walk. Many teenage boys are selected at random to participate. The young people start at the Canadian border for the Long Walk. Ray Garraty was one of these boys that was selected. He meets the other people such as Richard Harkness, Peter McVires, Arthur Baker, Hank Olsen, Collie Parker, etc. Ray and Peter form a close bond. The Major gives the young men water and rations. Broadway Music and My Favorite Composers

 I would like to tell you about my favorite composers. These composers made an impact on the stage as well in music. Here is Alan Menken in his recording studio  Alan Menken was one of my favorites. He wrote the music for Beauty and the Beast as well as Little Shop of Horrors. I like him because he wrote music for Broadway as well as for the movies and both of these were made into movies.  Here is a young Stephen Sondheim at an event  Another one I enjoy is Stephen Sondheim. He wrote the music for Gypsy, Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Follies, just to name a few. He had a very long and legendary career on Broadway. Sondheim was a trailblazer. When he passed away in 2021 the loss was immense. Even the Broadway lights dimmed for him. A lot of famous people posted on social media their condolences and their memories of him. Summer 2026

Summer is coming soon and I am really excited for it! I cannot wait! Here are my favorite things to do in the summer.  I like to go to the NJ shore for the summer. I was in Long Beach Island, NJ from July 25-August 1 2025. I was in LBI for a week. I was there with my mom, my dog Harley, my brother and his girlfriend, my sister and one of her friends. My sister's friend visited New Jersey from Massachusetts. She lives in the Boston area.  We went to the beach, we went walking at Sunset Park, went out to dinner at the Black Whale and many more. We had an amazing time! Me with the sunset in Sunset Park in LBI I sometimes like to go to outdoor concerts. I saw a Beatles tribute concert last year at the Florham Park Gazebo. It is in Florham Park, NJ, not that far from the Florham Park Library. I saw it with a friend of mine and we liked it very much.
