My love of Photography

Image
My love of photography started when I was in grade school. My school had this program called the SEE program. We got digital cameras that belonged to the school and we took pictures of certain things outside. It was during class at that time. I was in awe at that time. I was very enamored as well.  We had to take pictures of nature such as trees, flowers and sometimes the sky. The SEE program was a great thing to do. I enjoyed every minute of it. When I got through that class, I was so happy that I took it. It was one of the things that brought me happiness. I was in love with photography ever since.  As I got older, I wanted my own digital camera. I got my own during my college days. It was around my freshman year of college in 2014 that I got one.  I was attending CIP (College Internship Program) at that time and I took classes at Berkshire Community College. Photography was a course that I took at that time. I learned to use Photoshop and I enjoyed it.   I h...

One of Them Days movie review

Image
Last week I saw One of Them Days in West Orange with a friend of mine and I thought it was so hilarious! It was about these two best friends named Dreux and Alyssa.  Dreux works as a waitress in a diner and Alyssa works as an aspiring artist. Alyssa has a boyfriend and they have been dating for quite some time. It turns out Alyssa's boyfriend is cheating on her and he stole Dreux and Alyssa's rent money.  Alyssa and Dreux go on a wild goose chase to get the rent money to save themselves from getting evicted from their apartment complex. They go after Alyssa's boyfriend because he stole the rent money.  During their wild goose chase to get the rent money, they meet a man named Lucky. They meet him outside of a bank and they befriend him. Dreux and Alyssa go into the bank and ask for a loan. They did that so they can pay rent and save themselves from getting evicted. They get turned away. Then they go to a blood center so that they can donate blood for money. Alyssa gets ...

A Complete Unknown - Movie Review

This is the movie poster for A Complete Unknown On December 30, 2024 I saw the Bob Dylan biopic called A Complete Unknown . I saw it in the AMC Mountainside with some friends. It is about the life and career of  Bob Dylan before he became famous. It was set during the early 1960's. He had moved to New York City from Minnesota, looking for his hero, Woody Guthrie. It turns out that Woody Guthrie was hospitalized at the time in Graystone Psychiatric Hospital due to a condition called Huntington's Disease. Dylan goes to the hospital to visit Guthrie and he meets Pete Seeger, a famous folk singer who ended up helping Dylan's musical career. While at the hospital, Bob Dylan played a song dedicated to Guthrie called "Songs of Woody". My favorite part of the movie was when Dylan was beginning to get famous and did a duet with Joan Baez at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. They sang "It Ain't Me, Babe." It was at a later Newport Folk Festival that...
