Knowing how to take the train on my own

One of the reasons I have learned to like taking the train from Maplewood to NY Penn is because my dad works in NY and he takes the train into NY Penn Station every day. I have become very independent with trains. I know how to take the train to certain places on my own.

I take the trains in New Jersey as well as New York. I take the train to NY Penn Station to see Broadway shows. I've also  taken the train to Chatham, NJ because one of my friends lives there.

I enjoy taking the train very much because I don't have to deal with traffic and I don't have to rely on other people for a ride.

I also like taking the train because it gives me confidence when I take the train to a lot of cool places. I know I can do it on my own.

I know that sometimes the trains get cancelled or delayed and I don't like that. But usually they're on time.

I recently saw the movie American Fiction in a local movie theater. I really liked it. It was a comedy drama.  The comedy parts made me laugh and the drama parts got me in awe. It made me think a lot about what people write about in books. It made me think about whether there should be a difference between a white writer and a writer of color. Galantine’s day celebration

I had a Galantine’s day celebration at Benihana on Saturday night. I had a phenomenal time. I always was a fan of girls get togethers and hibachi. I came up with girls get togethers last September. Me and my female friends went to the Cheesecake Factory for my 28th birthday and we had a great time! When I hang out with my female friends, I feel very happy. I have a great time with them. For my next all girls get together, we are going to a farm for an Easter/Spring festival this March. I cannot wait for it!  Cheers! The gang is all here!  Me and Leila

Broadway Music and My Favorite Composers

 I would like to tell you about my favorite composers. These composers made an impact on the stage as well in music. Here is Alan Menken in his recording studio  Alan Menken was one of my favorites. He wrote the music for Beauty and the Beast as well as Little Shop of Horrors. I like him because he wrote music for Broadway as well as for the movies and both of these were made into movies.  Here is a young Stephen Sondheim at an event  Another one I enjoy is Stephen Sondheim. He wrote the music for Gypsy, Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Follies, just to name a few. He had a very long and legendary career on Broadway. Sondheim was a trailblazer. When he passed away in 2021 the loss was immense. Even the Broadway lights dimmed for him. A lot of famous people posted on social media their condolences and their memories of him.
