Super Bowl 2024!

 


February 11 was the Super Bowl and it had a lot of iconic moments. I watched the game as well as the commercials. I was a friend of mine’s Super Bowl party. 


Kansas City vs. San Francisco 
The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs competed against each other. My favorite Super Bowl commercials were the Wicked trailer because I love that musical and Tina Fey for booking.com. It was the most watched Super Bowl commercial this year. It was funny that Glenn Close made a cameo.

Another commercial that I like is Dunkin’ Donuts with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. That was pretty cool.

Usher performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. He was pretty good. My favorite parts of the Super Bowl halftime show were Alicia Keys singing a duet with Usher and playing the piano and Usher rollerskating on stage. I have been to a rollerskating birthday party, but I would like to do more rollerskating in the future. The game was overtime, but the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl. It was a good game.

  Hello everybody! This is my blog. I am blogging about current events, movies, pop culture, etc. I am doing this because I want to talk to everyone about what is going on. I recently saw the movie American Fiction in a local movie theater. I really liked it. It was a comedy drama.  The comedy parts made me laugh and the drama parts got me in awe. It made me think a lot about what people write about in books. It made me think about whether there should be a difference between a white writer and a writer of color. Galantine’s day celebration

I had a Galantine’s day celebration at Benihana on Saturday night. I had a phenomenal time. I always was a fan of girls get togethers and hibachi. I came up with girls get togethers last September. Me and my female friends went to the Cheesecake Factory for my 28th birthday and we had a great time! When I hang out with my female friends, I feel very happy. I have a great time with them. For my next all girls get together, we are going to a farm for an Easter/Spring festival this March. I cannot wait for it!  Cheers! The gang is all here!  Me and Leila

Broadway Music and My Favorite Composers

 I would like to tell you about my favorite composers. These composers made an impact on the stage as well in music. Here is Alan Menken in his recording studio  Alan Menken was one of my favorites. He wrote the music for Beauty and the Beast as well as Little Shop of Horrors. I like him because he wrote music for Broadway as well as for the movies and both of these were made into movies.  Here is a young Stephen Sondheim at an event  Another one I enjoy is Stephen Sondheim. He wrote the music for Gypsy, Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Follies, just to name a few. He had a very long and legendary career on Broadway. Sondheim was a trailblazer. When he passed away in 2021 the loss was immense. Even the Broadway lights dimmed for him. A lot of famous people posted on social media their condolences and their memories of him.
