Whippany Railway Museum 2024

Image
On October 13th, I went to the Whippany Railway Museum with some friends of mine for the Pumpkin Train ride. Before I went on the train, I saw many historical trains.  I saw a display of the Titanic inside a small building by the train tracks. The small building has a gift shop as well as some other exhibits. The Titanic display was very interesting. It was interesting because you got to see the plates people used on the boat as well as a model of the lifeboat use when the Titanic sank.  I went walking around the outside area of the museum.  I saw a green train that belonged to Morris County Central. It looked like it belonged in the 1800's. It was from the early 20th century. It was really vintage.  The Pumpkin Train Ride started at 4:00 pm. Me and my friends all went to the caboose area. The train was decorated in Halloween decor.  It went through Whippany to Roseland, through Morris County. It was fun and relaxing. After it was over, we went off the train and took a group pictu

The Wild Robot review

Image
In the end of September, I saw The Wild Robot in Mountainside, NJ. It was about a robot named ROZZUM 7134 or Roz for short who was washed up and abandoned into a forest island with many animals. She wanders the island and later finds an orphaned gosling. She befriends a fox named Fink. Together Roz and Fink raise the gosling they named Brightbill.  He helps Roz raise Brightbill as her own child. They teach Brightbill how to swim and the other geese mock the gosling for his size and call Roz a monster. It was around the summertime when this takes place.  Eventually, Brightbill needs to learn how to fly so he can go south for the winter. Roz helps Brightbill to fly.  They later meet up with the other geese and meet Longneck who is an elderly goose. Brightbill and the other geese fly south for the winter. Roz is heartbroken and tries to return to her headquarters. She is later retrieved by Vontra who is another fellow robot. Vontra tries to erase Roz's memories of the island but Roz

What I did for my 29th birthday

Image
My 29th birthday was this past September. Me and my mom had salads from the Millburn Deli for lunch. After that I got my nails done. And then, later, I went to NYC to meet my dad. I took Uber from NJ to NYC.  We had dinner at an Italian restaurant called Osteria Delbianco. It was on East 49th Street, right by the theater district. For appetizers I had a Caesar salad and prosciutto con burrata. It was really delicious! For my main course I had some spaghetti with tomato sauce and sausages. It was so good! After that I has some dessert. I had a chocolate brownie with some vanilla gelato, which was really rich. The waiters sang happy birthday to me and I was surprised!  My birthday dinner.  After dinner was over, me and my dad saw a Broadway musical called The Outsiders. It rook place in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967. It was about Ponyboy Curtis and his friends. Ponyboy was raised by his brothers Soda Pop and Darrel. The Greasers and the Socs are enemies. The Socs are more upper class; the Gre

My Review of Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice

Image
On September 7th I saw the sequel, Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice with my friend, Jessy. We saw it in the Mountainside movie theater.  The movie was about Lydia Deetz and her daughter Astrid. Lydia is now a host of a talk show called Ghost House. Astrid, in her teens, attends a boarding school. Lydia's father, Charles, passed away and Delia, Lydia's stepmother, is heartbroken. Lydia and Delia take Astrid out of boarding school for Charles' funeral.  Beetle Juice comes back after someone says his name three times.  I rated this movie an 8 out of 10. There were some funny parts that I liked, such as Beetle Juice playing the guitar singing "Right Here Waiting" to Lydia. But there were some parts that I didn't like the sandworms because they were scary. Overall, it did have some funny parts. But it was just fair, in my opinion. Did you see it? If so, what would you rate it?  Leave a comment below.

Blink Twice movie review

Image
The movie poster from Blink Twice  Just before the Labor Day weekend, I saw a movie called Blink Twice.  It is about a lady named Frida who is a manicurist and a cocktail waitress who meets Slater King who is a billionaire tech mogul. Slater invites Frida and her friend Jess to his private island. Some of Slater's friends are there as well. Strange things start happening on the island. For instance, she keeps losing her memory because someone is drugging her with venom from a flower.  Frida needs to find out what is really happening before she can get off the island. During the end of the movie, Slater and Frida get married and Frida is the new CEO of the tech company. I give this movie a 10 out of 10. The reason why is because of the suspense and the plot. I enjoyed the story very much. It gets you on the edge of your seat.     It is the directorial debut of Zoe Kravitz, who is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. Knowing how to take the train on my own

Image
One of the reasons I have learned to like taking the train from Maplewood to NY Penn is because my dad works in NY and he takes the train into NY Penn Station every day. I have become very independent with trains. I know how to take the train to certain places on my own. I take the trains in New Jersey as well as New York. I take the train to NY Penn Station to see Broadway shows. I've also  taken the train to Chatham, NJ because one of my friends lives there. I enjoy taking the train very much because I don't have to deal with traffic and I don't have to rely on other people for a ride. I also like taking the train because it gives me confidence when I take the train to a lot of cool places. I know I can do it on my own. I know that sometimes the trains get cancelled or delayed and I don't like that. But usually they're on time.  What is your experience with taking the train? Leave a comment below.

It ends with us review

Image
This past Monday, I saw a movie called It Ends with Us in South Orange, New Jersey. It was based off the book of the same name by Colleen Hoover. I liked the movie.  It was about a woman named Lily Bloom who dreams of opening her flower shop in Boston, Massachusetts. She returns to her hometown in Maine to give a eulogy for her father's funeral. She walks out in the middle of it. He had been abusive to her mother. Later on, Lily meets Ryle who is a neurosurgeon. Ryle seems charming at first. Later on, Lily and Ryle get into a relationship that turns toxic and violent. Ryle hits Lily for the first time wile making breakfast. One night Lily, her mom and Ryle go out to dinner where they see Lily's childhood sweetheart, Atlas working as a waiter. Ryle got jealous and got violent with Atlas. Atlas warns Lily to get out and escape. Eventually, Ryle and Lily get married and have a daughter. After their daughter was born, Ryle continues to be abusive to Lily. Lily asks Ryle for a di
