Elio movie review

Image
This past June 24, I saw the movie Elio at the AMC in West Orange, NJ and I liked it. Disney movies were  part of my childhood and I wanted to see it.   The movie is about a young kid by the name of Elio who lives with his Aunt Olga. His Aunt Olga is in the US Air Force and works for the government.  Elio has trouble making friends and he thinks aliens are real.   While Elio was at his Aunt's place of work, he was able to communicate with the aliens. That caused a power outage. After two bullies beat up Elio on the beach, his Aunt Olga sends him to a summer camp to make friends. He hates it because the kids in the camp do not respect him.  Elio gets abducted by the aliens at the summer camp that he was at. He meets some weird aliens such as a liquid super computer named Ooooo. While there he shares knowledge of the planet Earth with the aliens and the aliens make Elio their leader.  Then the alien ambassadors hold an emergency meeting. Lord Grigon, a...

My trip to Miami Florida

Image
I was in Miami, Florida for Father's Day weekend. I was there from June 13-16.  I had an early morning flight from Newark International Airport to Miami International Airport on June 13. When I landed in Miami, Florida, I was astounded. I was  astounded by the palm trees as well as the warm weather. My dad was on the plane with me from NJ to FL.  My dad rented a condo in Miami, Florida and we stayed there. We went to the beach and the pool to go swimming. The water was warm when I was swimming in the ocean. We went for a walk one time and we saw the boats there. The boats were huge!   Me and my dad went out to dinner as well. On Friday night we went out to Carpaccio which is an Italian restaurant in Bal Harbour, Florida. It was so good! We had a Caesar salad as well as fried calamari to start with for an appetizer. For a main course I had a pasta dish. It was delicious.  On Saturday, I saw my brother, Jared and his girlfriend, Abbie at Jaya, with is an Asian res...

Things I like to do during the summer

Image
Memorial Day weekend was last week and is the start of summer. I am busy a lot during the summer months. Here are some things I like to do during the summer.  One of the things I like to do is go to the beach. I have been to many beaches in NJ such as Hathaway Beach in Deal, Eighth Avenue beach in Asbury Park, West End Beach in Long Branch as well as the beaches in LBI and Ventnor.   Beautiful sunset in Asbury Park I have been to  Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point  Pleasant, NJ and I think it is cool.    I enjoy the beach because of the ocean as well as the seashells. I have been walking on the beach with my family and friends for many years. The NJ shore is so much fun.  Another activity I like to do is to go to the Turtle Back Zoo. It is in West Orange, NJ and is not far for me. I have been there many times in the past and I enjoy it. My favorite animals are the flamingos as well as the giraffes. I am going to the Turtle Back Zoo on June 1st...

Chiller April 2025

Image
This past April 26th, I was at the Chiller Theater Convention. I usually go in the month of April. It is held twice a year which is October and April. I like going to the April one because you do a lot more stuff during the spring. It is located at the Hilton Hotel in Parsippany, NJ. Chiller Theater is a convention where you can meet many famous people. The people acted in many kinds of movies and TV shows.  I went with my friend Jessy Leppert. He was the one who got me into the Chiller Theater convention. I went with him in the past.  First, me and Jessy met David Joyner. He was in the original Barney. He was in the Barney costume and Bob West did the voice for it. I got an autograph from him and Jessy and I took a picture with him. I had a Barney themed birthday party for my first birthday.  Jessy and I had a photo op with Loretta Swit, Margret Houlihan in the tv show MASH. My mom watched that show with my grandparents Grandma Gail and Poppy Bob back when they were stil...

Whippany railway museum April 2025

Image
On April 13th I went to the Whippany Railway Museum with some friends of mine. It was an Easter train ride excursion.  We got there before the train was supposed to leave but it left a bit late because there were so many people there. It's a popular attraction around that time and the weather was nice. When the train left we saw the sights as it went past Morristown and Parsippany. The train went past Cedar Knolls as well.  We all had a good time on the train ride and looking at the sights.  Before we got on the train, we looked at the old trains in the museum. One of my friends, Peter, works seasonally at the Railway Museum. He also told us some facts about the sights we saw as we rode along. He knows a lot about trains and railroads. That's how he got the job at the museum. That's Peter in the middle taking a selfie. When the Easter Bunny came along, I was so happy and I took a picture of him. He was very nice to everyone on the train. He greeted the little kids a...

Novocaine movie review

Image
On March 15th, I saw the movie Novocaine in the Manville movie theater in Manville, NJ.  It was about a man named Nathan Caine who works at a bank in California. He has a condition that doesn't let him feel any pain on his body. He works with a woman named Sherry, who has a crush on him. Sherry asks Nathan out on a date after work. Nathan says yes, but he is nervous because he was very sheltered due to his condition.  He asks his online gaming friend Roscoe for some advice. Roscoe tells Nathan to play it cool. Nathan and Sherry go on their first date to an art show. He bumps into a guy who used to bully him in school. The bully calls him Novocaine, a nickname they used to call him.  The art show was located at a bar and Sherry tricks the bully into drinking hot sauce at the bar. The bully feels the heat and the pain when he tastes it. After the art show, Sherry and Nathan leave to go back to Nathan's place and they start getting intimate.  Christmas Eve...

Bowling with friends

Image
This past March 9th, I was at Hanover Lanes in East Hanover, NJ. I was there with some friends of mine. I  have been bowling since I was younger. I used to bowl at Eagle Rock Lanes in West Orange, NJ in the past. Sadly, Eagle Rock Lanes shut their doors permanently, which means they shut their doors forever. I was very sad to see Eagle Rock Lanes go. I enjoyed that place dearly. There is a part of me that wishes Eagle Rock Lanes was still open.  First me and my friends needed to get bowling shoes at Hanover Lanes. We could not go bowling without our bowling shoes.  We were on two teams and we played two games. We had a lot of fun at the time. We were very happy there. I myself was having fun at Hanover Lanes. I bowled an 85 and 81 during the two games I played. We did not win any prizes but we had a great time! All that matters is that we were having fun! After bowling was over, some of us ate at the bowling alley. There was a small snack bar there.  I really enjoyed...
